Project 52:21 | Unbelievable

Project 52:21
Motherhood is:

Unbelievable.
Time flies by so quickly.
It seems like yesterday
I was rocking her in my arms.
Now this bright little girl has
completed her first year of dance
and is growing up way too fast.
It's unbelievable!

Sadie turned three a few short weeks ago. All the family came to town (Texas) to celebrate this birthday occasion. She chose to have a Hello Kitty party and as the cake decorator I didn't complain. The Hello Kitty cake had to have been the easiest cake ever! She had a blast with her friends and family opening gifts and eating cake. Then we spent time outside blowing bubbles and flying a kite.
It was the perfect birthday evening.

The following night was her end of the year dance recital. The girls looked so adorable in their dance costumes and did a fabulous job! (She actually danced for most of the song! Yippee!) This was a big accomplishment for the 2 year old class.
They were outstanding!

Project 52:19 | Untraveled

Project 52:19
Motherhood is:

UNTRAVELED.
Every mother ventures on new journeys
loaded with unforeseen circumstances.
Sometimes it's a sprint and sometimes a marathon.
But whether trivial or profound
it is an adventure full of lasting memories.

Oh, boy! Selling your home is no small feat, but selling your home with small inhabitants that wreck the place on a regular basis is sure to be an accomplishment. In fact, I have now come to believe that any mother who pulls off such a task should receive a LARGE trophy. Actually, I would just settle for a pedicure and massage.
But seriously, it's exhausting!

So we headed to Missouri to house hunt last week (hence the late post). On the morning we were set to meet our realtor we actually got an offer on our house! It came from the couple I've referenced before from Springfield. It is the craziest story. This couple is moving from Springfield, attended Evangel University and is now coming to work at SAGU. It's almost like our story in reverse! They loved our home but needed to sell theirs first. So I looked up their home to see if we would even be interested and discovered that the realtor listing their house was our very realtor in Springfield! This was unbelievable!

Two weeks after they saw our home they had a contract on theirs and made us the offer. It seemed perfect. I wish I could say that this story had a fairy tale ending, but we were unable to come to an agreement with them on a contract. Also, we didn't find a house we loved during our short hunt.
So it sort of feels like we are back at square one.

In the end I know we will look back in awe of God's perfect timing.
Until then I await the dreaded one hour notice for the next home showing. Let's see how many more times I can clean and buff this house to perfection in 60 minutes!?
Pedi? Please!

Project 52:18 | Unwavering

Project 52:18
Motherhood is:

UNWAVERING.
For little hands and feet
depend on us to have
steadfast devotion and
tireless determination.
And surely we pray
that these same virtues will soon
prove evident in their little
and all too soon
grown-up lives.

This girl has been on a bubble blowing kick and her determination to create the biggest, baddest bubble is steadfast! She discovered that if she hunkered in the corner of our porch the wind would not hinder her bubble making.
Finally, after much concentration her prized bubble would take flight. Then, she would carefully catch it with her wand and kindly allow her little brother to pop the beastly vessel. Only to retreat back to her cranny and begin the relentless process again.

I love her unwavering perseverance!
