Project 52:49

Motherhood is:

PICTURESQUE
or quaintly attractive;
as in the sight of yoga pants
& three-day-old dirty hair.

Sadie painted this while on a play date at Noah's Art in the fall (2012). It was probably the first "real" picture she had painted and I was rather proud of my three year old.
I know it's not perfect and flowers may growing out of the ocean . . .
But this is my kind of picturesque.

It's how we roll these days.
Especially the yoga pants.

Project 52:50

Motherhood is:

LIGHTHEARTED

because this profession requires
a break from dirty dishes & crumby floors
to wrestle & giggle with little faces.

And I'll be the first to admit I'm not the most lighthearted person you'll meet.
I tend to be time and task oriented. Motherhood has been good for me.
I'd say it has "lightened" me up just a tad.
Thank goodness!

Project 52:51

Motherhood is:

INVESTING
our time, money & hearts
into those nearest & dearest.

I'm so thankful my husband saves his pocket change for the kids and then sits down with them to count it out. They began working on the principle of tithing.
Investing in their hearts and minds takes time.
I hope I never take for granted the time I am given.

Project 52:52

Motherhood is:

CELEBRATING
life & milestones met;
from daily triumphs to yearly accomplishments.

It is finished! Better late than never. Right?
It only took me two years to finish, what was supposed to be, a year project.

I plan to move in a slightly different direction with my blog. What direction you ask? Your guess is as good as mine! Ha! It will probably be random and light-hearted.

I also decided, after much contemplation, to set up my own ETSY store. This store features my customized canvas art and possibly a few other items. Check it out and don't hesitate to contact me with your ideas. I love to personalize items!
